Learn to Write Fiction Learning Circle

Hi everyone,

I hope you are all doing well in these difficult times. As you may know, the library is currently closed to the public and staff is working from home. What that means is that we are in the process of moving to an online based service as much as we can.

The week before the library closed, I started a Learn To Write Fiction: World-Building class, which met once in person and then moved to an online platform. The class has been going well and it has inspired me to offer another course. It’s a great way to give yourself a little structure, a little purpose in your life, a little fun, and a way to connect with others if you’re stuck at home.

Learn To Write Fiction: Beginner Course will start May 6th and go for 8 weeks, Wednesdays 2-4pm. We will meet online once a week on Jitsi Meet, a video chat service, and will likely use Slack as a way to share work and receive feedback as well.

If you have any questions, please let me know! And even though we’re meeting online, space is still limited, so please register here, and register asap so I know how many people are interested. (We may need to restructure the course, or split into two groups if there is a large number of you.)

Thank you and I look forward to seeing some of you online in a few weeks!
