These notes came from a discussion held at the Boston Gathering (September 2019) about creating volunteer-led learning circles and learning programs in a public library setting.
To expand volunteer-led learning circles in other libraries, librarians require the following:
- Best practices
- Anecdotal evidence of the volunteer pathway. For example, how they came in, where they went, what they did
- Video of volunteer talking about their experience
- Generalizable issues/ challenges and the solutions
- Adaptations for training for different groups
