I think it’s on shared dreamhost, but yes, you are basically right 
I’ve sent a support request to Dreamhost. Let’s keep an eye on this and see if it improves.
i think it has gotten worse… now when you click on any of the pages it says,
"Not Found
The requested URL /research/ was not found on this server."
Should actually be super fast now. We moved it to a different server.
That may have been a DNS issue that just took time to resolve (unfortunately there is nothing we can do to prevent that).
Please try again and let us know if it’s working.
