Avatar for Disqus doesn't match P2PU avatar

Hi there! I’m currently facilitating a course on crowdsourced art (https://p2pu.org/en/courses/2375/crowdsourced-art-a-participatory-exercise-in-collaboration-and-collective-creativity/). When I comment via Disqus, my avatar is the standard blue & white one, instead of my P2PU avatar. Since I am trying to foster collaboration and community in the course, I would really like to be able to post my photo so that it feels more personal.
Do you have any suggestions on how to fix this?
I know there was a previous post about this, but I don’t think the problem got resolved, so I thought I’d bring it up again.
Thanks again for all your awesome work here on P2PU!

Hello @ioanaliterat!

I totally hear you about wanting to build social presence in your course. Now @dirk is on holiday and @Erika may be able to help, but I think I’ve tried this before: https://en.gravatar.com/

If that doesn’t work soonly, please do ping again. Let us know how it goes!

Hey @ioanaliterat - unfortunately I haven’t been able to figure out why the problem happens or how to fix it :frowning:

For other courses we are using Discourse (same as this forum) over at http://discourse.p2pu.org. Atm that doesn’t support single sign on or integration the way disqus does, but you have better control over your conversations and info. If you do not set a profile pictures on p2pu.org or discourse.p2pu.org it should both use your Gravatar profile picture if present.

We are working on improving integration with Discourse, but it will take some time before we get something out the door.

Thanks so much, guys! I will try with Gravatar and see how it goes!
Thanks again for all your support!

Ioana
