Should we have a separate Discourse for course discussions?

I just want to point people to the Why Open? discourse… it’s really taking off! See the exciting (responses to responses) for the first week’s reflection at http://discourse.p2pu.org/t/our-own-views-on-openness-week-1/34/1.

If Why Open? course is any indication, I think Discourse is definitely a tool to use for future facilitated courses!

Hey @Jane so glad you’re digging it. Would you please start making a list of ways you use it/best practices? I’m working on a guide to using discourse…

Yes! A guide to using Discourse would be great. I was thinking we might need to write up something rough and ready for our Why Open participants, just with a few basics on how it works.

But maybe there’s something already existing that would provide new users just the basics? I looked on the Discourse.org website and couldn’t find any such thing.

I believe Jeff Atwood’s approach is to use the discourse community to collaboratively build the guide. Would love to do this in September if possible. Please make notes here!
