Michelle Fellows from the Technology and Social Change Group at the University of Washington Information School published findings from 144 learning circle participants in the US, Canada, and Kenya.
Among other things, she summarized the major tips that learners had for first time participants:

- Practice good habits
- Bring a positive attitude
- Stay true to your path
