Interesting NYT article on the need for more instructors/courses in CS programs

I remember being so caught off guard during grad school about this very issue: I was enrolled in a one year program, which meant I had 8 classes to take. So many of the courses I wanted to take were overenrolled, and I was uncomfortable about how much of my graduate school experience would come down to chance! This was especially crazy since I wasn’t the only one. Like this article, some classes are twice over enrolled, which means that there is an entire classworth of accepted student who all want to learn the same thing, but “can’t”. Hmmmmm…
