This course received a 4 star rating from a facilitator!
What did you hope to achieve when you signed up to facilitate this learning circle?
To recreate all the best parts of a learning circle in an online setting.
To what extent did you achieve this?
Did anything about the learning circle surprise you?
That the participants had no difficulty navigating the technology.
Do you have any stories from the learning circle you want to share with the P2PU community?
Participants ranged in age from 12- 60. Being in an online setting made everything very egalitarian and I think much more comfortable for the 12-year-old to fully participate, perhaps more so than would have been the case in person.
About how many people showed up for the first meeting?
About how many people showed up for the second meeting?
About how many people showed up for the last meeting?
How well did the online course work as a learning circle?
Why did you give the course 4 star(s)?
The learning part functioned very well and everyone had fun. What was lacking in comparison to a regular learning circle was the relaxed group discussions and more interaction between participants–it was not possible to adequately achieve this online.
How likely are you to recommend facilitating a learning circle to a friend or colleague?
It is enjoyable for the facilitator as well, especially if you are interested in the subject. It provides good people-skills and organizational training.
